The Washington Examiner: DACA deportation reversed after Soros, Bloomberg groups pressure

A rare Obama-era decision to withdraw DACA protections to an illegal who had become a serial immigration protest leader was reversed under pressure from groups backed by Michael Bloomberg and George Soros, according to Customs and Immigration Service emails.

 

After declaring Nadia Sol Ireri Unzueta Carrasco unfit to keep her protections from deportation because of "public safety concerns," groups backed by Soros and Bloomberg, along with her supporters at the University of Illinois at Chicago, won a reversal, allowing her to stay in the U.S. under President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

 

The emails, received under a Freedom of Information Act request by Immigration Reform Law Institute, showed that Customs and Immigrations Service officials met on the case with leaders from Bloomberg-backed National Partnership for New Americans and Soros-backed CASA de Maryland. ...
