Shortt v. Dick Clark’s AB Theatre, LLC

IRLI represented a citizen restaurant worker file a complaint (attached here) against his former employer in the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer alleging employment discrimination under a federal law that prohibits retaliation against employees if they report an immigration violation. The citizen faced retaliation from the company as well as fellow employees for mentioning to managers that he suspected some kitchen employees were illegal aliens. The citizen was fired from employment as a consequence of engaging in this protected activity.
