Law360: Tech Group Says Schools’ OPT Support ‘Nakedly Political’

A technology union has urged the D.C. Circuit to bar over 150 colleges and universities from having a say in its lawsuit challenging work permit extensions for foreign graduates, saying that the schools’ arguments are purely political.

The schools, banding together as the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration, recently filed an amicus brief in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s 2016 decision to extend the Optional Practical Training work permit program for foreign graduates.
